Public Works Employee passes

The Town of Easton is saddened by the loss of a member of the Public Works crew who passed away Thursday. Additional information will be provided here when it becomes available.

Flags For Heroes

Easton Rotary recently provided 60 flags to the Town of Easton as part of their "Flags for Heroes" project. Easton's Public Works department placed the flags on street lights throughout the downtown area using custom fabricated holders. The holders were designed and built by members of the Public Works department to facilitate the display.

Waylands Pond Fence Replacement

The Town of Easton Public Works Department will be replacing the fence around the stormwater management pond in Waylands. The new fence will be similar to the fence installed in Matthewstown Run, at the park, along Fisher Range Road. The new fence will not follow the same footprint as the existing fence. This is being done to straighten the fence line and also give the grass crew more room to cut around the pond as the existing fence does not allow room for mowers to cut along some of the areas. This will allow for improvement to the appearance of the perimeter around the pond’s edge.

Poplar Island Christmas Tree Delivery

The Town of Easton Public Works Department continues to provide Poplar Island with general nesting habitat, specifically for Black Ducks, by delivering Christmas trees. A total of four truckloads of trees made thier way to Poplar Island via Tilghman. The Town has provided this service for several years.
